Frankenstein's Monster picks up where Mary Shelley left off--but from the monster's point of view. I love stories like this (Think Beowulf, and the John Gardner's Grendel). O'Keefe's novel (definitely adult, not YA) gives the next steps, but from the monster's point of view in poetic, lyrical prose.
