Somerset County's Weekend Journey Through The Past and a visit with Houdini ♥

Some highlights of the weekend in the cemetery... Gravestone rubbing at Bound Brook Old Cemetery (next to the Bound Brook Library) is now a Somerset County's Weekend Journey Through The Past tradition :)
Lovely soul effigy in Bound Brook, NJ
Me, rubbing it out--I don't mind this photo so much.
The finished...
...and close up.
The kids were really into it, which was cool.
Getting a little creative. Moon paper by Rodarte for Target.
A bit of my collection, on display through the end of the month :)
Prepping for the Houdini trip. #1: Break up old crayons...
Houdini headstone--we left him some wax cakes ♥
I love how his head is one with the clouds...

  1. This is really cool. I have an author friend, Dianne K. Salerni, who wrote this book: The Caged Graves. You might want to check it out.

    1. OMGosh I know her! Caged Graves, right? I think I have another book by her... pretty sure it's her. Gonna check my stacks... :D

  2. Should have figured. Small world. Dianne is great.
