About this time last year I was given an assignment to interview Katelan Foisy for Witches and Pagans magazine which happily, brought me to Brooklyn and Catland Books. The perfect niche for a city witch the shop is a place to learn, stock up on supplies, congregate for rituals and soak up the local scene. Have a look:

...and so much more. This past summer Katelan turned the ritual space into a temple gallery for the installation she curated, Altars as Art Forms:
Ah yes, the ritual space. It had been a long time since I'd attended public rituals that were so well planned, so inclusive, so moving and sensually beautiful. The ritual space, a simple, dark box transforms into a sacred space unique for each gathering by way of original artwork, music and film. From the Witch's Compass Full Flower Moon and Hunter's Moon circles...
