April A to Z Challenge K is for...

Our sheep above have a decidedly Celtic feel, but knotwork is an artform that transcends many cultures. Representing the interconnection of all things, the "ins and outs" and complexity of life (that in the end, is a single path!), these little labyrinths tickle the mind and attract the eye--they are also magical!

CLICK HERE to print out a PDF file. As you color, think of a situation that may perplex you. As you fill in sheep and field, keep it in your mind--don't try to straighten it out, but appreciate it for all of its bends and twists and turns. How has this situation helped you to grow? See things in a different light? Let all these positive thoughts seep from you through your markers, crayons, pencils or paint right into the paper. When you're finished, tuck the picture under your pillow or mattress--and sleep on it. Let your unconscious mind wander the twisting pathways, and be sure to write down any inspiration that comes in the night! ♥

  1. I love intricate knot designs, although I can't draw to save my life!

  2. I love herbal gardens grown into knots, too. I love the Celtic energy-here~

  3. Ha ha, I was thinking, hmm, Celtic sheep--thanks for clarifying. There is something so cool about knotwork. Like it links us to our ancestors. Great post.
